Causes We Support
At FlowerShopDeals we believe in giving back to the communities we do business with and donating to worthy causes that impact the lives of the communities we serve.
For us, the causes that we celebrate are also personal as well, as our founders' wife family has a history of heart disease and high blood pressure - which has also impacted other women in his family leading one female family member suffering from a stroke before the age of 50.
By donating to nonprofits that make a difference in the communities we live collectively all of our efforts to increase equality for women, create better access to education and health care and foster the development and education of young women and girls we will make a difference in the world that will strengthen our communities for the better.
International Women's Day
FlowerShopDeals celebrates International Women's Day held on March 8 annually to encourage and foster the developement of young women and girls all over the world. International Women's Day is a global day of celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. On March 8, we donate proceeds from every floral and gift sale that is generated through our site to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGS) - the official charity partner of IWD, that empowers girls to become leaders and advocates in their communities and on the world stage. WAGGS is the world's largest voluntary movement dedicated to girls and young women.
International Women's Day has been observed since the early 1900s, celebrating and empowering women the world over. On March 8, thousands of events are held throughout the world and in local communities in the United States to inspire women and celebrate their achievements. Activities and events include political rallies, business conferences, government activities, informal get-togethers, fashion parades, networking events and live performances through local organizations. American Heart Association
Fact: Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year and is more deadly than all forms of cancer. In spite of these alarming statistics far to many women were not paying attention and dismissed this silent killer as an older man’s disease. To help dispel the myths and raise awareness of heart disease, the American Heart Association created the Go Red For Women campaign - a passionate, emotional, social initiative designed to empower women to take charge of their heart health. Since the inception of the Go Red campaign, over 2 million women have now learned about their personal risk of developing heart disease by taking the Go Red Heart CheckUp.
FlowerShopDeals donates funds to the American Heart Association through the Go Red campaign. We also support and particpate in local events and initiatives that raise awareness and funds for this mission as well.
National Wear Red Day is celebrated on the 1st day of February. Go Red For Women asks that across America, Women Go Red!
